Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata ‘interested in Barcelona move’ as La Liga champions are alerted about possible loan deal

Barcelona are considering making a move for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata after being alerted about a potential loan deal for the Spaniard.

The 26-year-old is said to be ‘interested’ in a move to the Nou Camp in the January transfer window should Chelsea be able to find a replacement for him.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, the deal also depends on whether the Catalan giants can offload both Denis Suarez and Munir to get Morata in for the six-month period.

Sport also claim that Barcelona have not made an offer to sign Morata but are weighing up their options.

Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also expressed an interest in signing the Spain international as Morata looks to end his torrid time in England.

Atletico joined the hunt for Morata earlier this week in an attempt to replace Diego Costa, who is currently recovering from a foot injury.

However, Atletico manager Diego Simeone remained coy on the interest in Morata.

‘The only thing I’m thinking about is the upcoming match against Levante,’ Simeone said. ‘I don’t speak about players that aren’t with us, only those that are.
