The news is out that drama “Doubt” has received a CBS order to series. Its 2016-2017 lineup casts Katherine Heigl and Laverne Cox; it also stars Dulé Hill, Elliott Gould, Steven Pasquale, Kobi Libii, and Dreama Walker.
The drama follows a successful and smart defense lawyer who falls for her brutal-crime client (may be guilty or innocent) which occurs in a boutique firm. The executive producers of the show include Joan Rater, Sarah Timberman, Tony Phelan, Adam Bernstein and Carl Beverly. The CBS Television Studios series will be directed by Bernstein.
The latest orders CBS has made are two new comedies and four new dramas to series- includes the high-profile reboots such as “Training Day” and “MacGyver.” “Parenthood” and “Friday Night Lights” executive producers, Jason Katims, “Pure Genious which was previously under the working title “Bunker Hill” was also ordered. “The Great Indoors” starring Joel McHale and “Man with a Plan” featuring Matt LeBlanc-new leading lady – made it to the comedy ordered to series.
