Disappointed with the incident, Ryan Lochte found apologizing his team mates in an interview. He said “I over-exaggerated the story and if I hadn’t done that we wouldn’t be in this mess. It was my immature behavior.”
When Lochte asked about how he felt that the police remove his teammates from the plane and they came under Scrutiny in Brazil for allegedly Vandalizing a gas station and lying to police. Lochte replied “That’s why I’m taking the full responsibility for it. I am hurt that I let my team down. I wanted to be there, I don’t want to leave them alone. I wanted to help out any way I could”
On asking about the incident that why he overstates the incident, Lochte said, “Whether you call it a robbery, whether you call it extortion or paying just for the damage. All we know is that we just wanted to get out of there. There was a gun in our direction-we were all frightened.”
Apologizing, he said, “I was immature and I made a stupid mistake. I definitely learned from this.” He even feel sorry for the people of Rio, he said that Brazil doesn’t deserve that ruckus, which happened due to my stupidity.
