Jenna Coleman has just debuted her blonde hairstyle in a photograph on Instagram as she prepares to film psychological TV drama The Cry.
The 31-year-old Victoria actress posted the image of herself sporting lighter hair while holding a copy of the Helen FitzGerald novel on which her new series is based.
She also appeared to be on a flight to Australia, as she added the caption: “Down under.”
The gripping four-part series – set in Glasgow and Melbourne – chronicles the collapse of a marriage in the aftermath of a tragedy, while focusing on the myths and truths of motherhood.
Coleman takes the lead as Joanna, a young fraught mother whose life collapses into turmoil when her baby is abducted in a small rural town in Australia.
She and frantic husband Alistair (played by Ewen Leslie) struggle to cope as they’re thrust under intense public scrutiny while trying to deal with their personal trauma and keep their marriage afloat.
Actor Ewen most recently played Nicole Kidman’s estranged husband in BBC Two’s Top of the Lake.
