Lil Wayne Refuses to Work with Birdman and denies retirement rumors

In an interview with FS1’s Undisputed, Lil Wayne said he would not be working with Birdman and further denied recent rumors that indicated he was retiring.

The interview started with a discussion about the song ‘No Mercy’ which is the theme song to Undisputed. However, the conversation shifted to a recent tweet from the rapper.

“I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fanz but I’m dun.”

Weezy explained that the tweet was posted an argument that involved business but refused to disclose any more information.

The rapper is currently entangled in a $51 million lawsuit battle with CashMoney filled in 2015 when the rapper claimed that the label had withheld payment of album Tha Carter V which is still unreleased. The rapper recently sued Universal Music Group; which is the distributor for Cash Money, over unpaid royalties.

Wayne said he has a family, kids and a mom adding that they had bills. He further went on to say that it was business ad once the business was right everything else would be alright. As for the tweet, Wayne said he felt exactly that way adding that he didn’t pull it down because he still felt the same way and until something got done about it then it would remain the same.

Shannon Sharpe then asked the rapper if he would collaborate with Birdman if the legal matter were settled and ‘No sir.’ was his reply adding that if he were given his, he would walk off free and smiling.
