The Captain America’s shield completes the fan-made Avengers props armory. Since the Ultron robots is a little harder to come by, you can get a shield that you can bounce off walls at MachinaProps. The Hacksmith made an attempt to make the shield a reality by using the aforementioned replica and several powerful electromagnets. Even if you do not have super soldier serum in your blood, this invention will inspire you.

James, the creators, explains that work done on the shield is not simple: they had to ensure that the shield (30-pound) was easy on the arm and could not break anything.

Magnets and batteries account for the weight. A lot of padding was done on the shield. To make the electromagnets make it into the superhero tech, each 12 v magnets could at least lift 260 pounds until they quickly burn out- when more voltage is used it will be more powerful. They used Aluminum to make the replica shield that’s why it is light, so any magnetic influence requires additions.

This is a good start. James is already able to reattach the shield to the brace and get a bit of bounce off some walls. The unfinished shield will holster into a matching magnetic biker jacket.
