The talented defender will hold talks with representatives Colossal Sports Management ahead of making a decision on his next move.
Despite suggestions Oxford has split from his long-term management team, the 20-year-old remains a key client of the agency – who also look after Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
It is understood the Hammers have mandated numerous agents to find Oxford a new club, but the defender will not be forced into signing for a team he does not want to join.
Instead, Oxford will thrash out this future with his existing agents in the coming days.
It seems clear West Ham are keen on offloading Oxford this month, but the youngster does not want to leave on loan.
